Dear Friends,                                                                         May 2009

We’d like to inform you of the 8th Annual Memorial Day Queens/Long Island 5K Run/Walk for Israel on May 25th. We've consistently drawn more than 1,000 people. It’s sponsored by the Young Israel of Jamaica Estates and will again feature a post-Run Concert and Ice Cream Festival.  This year for the first time, the 5K Run/Walk will be featuring a Health and Fitness Fair which will feature free health screenings, prevention and wellness informational displays as well as fitness and health-related exhibits/ products.

We've raised more than $60,000 per year, after expenses.  All proceeds of the Run/Walk benefit humanitarian, security and medical aid in Israel.

As you are probably aware, Charity Runs as well as Health Fairs are excellent vehicles for advertising and marketing products.   We hope that you will help make this year’s event a success by helping to sponsor this event. Sponsorships may consist of a combination of cash and merchandise. We also welcome product samples/coupons for our runners’ bags. (Brochure and sponsorship letter attached.)

Sponsorships between $250 and $5000 entitle companies to (1) an 8’ table for display/sales/promotions, (2) company name on 1000 T-shirts (font size and placement according to sponsorship level), (3) listing on thousands of brochures that are distributed throughout Queens, (4) promotional material/samples in approximately 500 runner bags and (5) company name on Giant poster on Race Day.

All monies received for this event will go directly to the charities involved and your company will get direct, tangible benefits in the form of direct consumer marketing to a relatively affluent consumer base.

To sponsor or for more information, email karenhje@aol.com or call Karen @718 454-6137.

Thank you so much for your consideration.

Sincerely yours,

5K Run/Walk Committee
