Young Israel of Jamaica Estates (YIJE) is a vibrant, multigenerational Orthodox synagogue serving the communities of Jamaica Estates, Fresh Meadows, and Holliswood since 1979. Under the leadership of Rabbi Dov Lerner, we are proud to be home to over 250 families who share a deep commitment to Torah, community, and Chesed.
YIJE combines tradition with innovation – offering inspiring tefillah, dynamic Torah learning, and inclusive programs for every age and stage of life. Our nationally acclaimed youth department, creative adult education, and welcoming spirit make YIJE a center for Jewish life in Eastern Queens.
We are deeply engaged in both local and global causes, supporting Israel, recent immigrants, unaffiliated Jews, and those in need through meaningful outreach and community service. From our Memorial Day 5K Run for Israel to year-round Chesed initiatives, YIJE is a community that takes action.
